Dr. Peter Feuerstein (“Fire-stine”) joined the McGinnis Psychology Group in September of 2004. He earned his B.S. degree in Psychology and M.S. degree in Counseling Education from Central Missouri State University, and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri. His internship was with the University of Kansas School of Medicine as well as Wichita State University. Also leading to his doctoral degree was an advanced clinical practicum with the Harvard Medical School affiliated McLean-Franciscan Children’s Hospital. Prior to his move to Florida, Dr. Feuerstein was a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri. His university training emphasized professional clinical practice with an emphasis on holistic approaches supporting overall life satisfaction. His psychological residency with the McGinnis Psychology Group has complemented his university experiences with intensive training in applied behavior analysis and the assessment of and intervention with children with special needs.

Dr. Feuerstein’s special interests include neuropsychology, child and adolescent therapy, and consultation with parents on special education issues. He currently is a member in good standing of the American Psychological Association, Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (Division 53 of APA), Association for Behavior Analysis, and Florida Association for Behavior Analysis.
